Overseas market is the star sea of domestic brands

Recently, electric vehicles, solar cells, lithium batteries as the representative of the "new three" in the field of foreign trade. And the automobile export market, which takes electric vehicles as the key breakthrough, is large and plays a good role in promoting foreign trade.

Statistics show that in 2021 and 2022, China's auto export volume was 2,015 million and 3,111,000, up 101.1% and 54.4% year-on-year, respectively. In 2023, Chinese cars have maintained strong growth at sea.

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Chinese auto manufacturers exported 994,000 units in the first three months of this year, up 70.6 percent year on year. In particular, the export of cars in March increased 1.1 times year on year to 364,000 units, a record high.

At present, the world's major auto import markets are still developed markets such as Europe and the United States, while emerging markets such as Chile and Indonesia have both market scale and growth potential. In the past few years, China's automobile export mainly to India, Africa and other countries, but from the data of the past one or two years, China's automobile export region has gradually shifted from Africa, India and other regions where the average price of automobile export is low to Europe and the United States and other developed countries, Europe and the United States market has become an important destination for Chinese automobiles to go to sea.

Among them, Chinese automobile export to Europe grows rapidly, showing the trend of rising volume price. For example, the export volume of cars to the UK was 81,200 in 2021, but it has reached 139,100 in 2022. Other European countries such as Spain and France have significantly increased their export volume in 2022 compared with the previous year.

The new energy vehicle is the "pioneer" of Chinese automobile going out to sea. After years of development, China's new energy vehicles have made great progress in quality, technology, supply chain system construction, brand building and other aspects, and their overseas competitiveness has been continuously improved. Therefore, more and more new energy vehicles have gone abroad and become the new business card of China's foreign trade. From January to March, China exported 248,000 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times and 3.9 times in March, becoming a major driving force for the country's auto export.
