In the first half of the year, China exported 488,000 automobiles

According to customs statistics, China's total import and export volume reached 14.67 trillion yuan in the first half of this year, up 3.9% year on year. The layout of the international market has been continuously optimized, and the country along the Belt and Road and the European Union have maintained relatively fast growth. The proportion of general trade in exports has been increasing, the structure of export commodities has been continuously upgraded, and the export of high-tech, high-quality and high value-added products such as integrated circuits, metal processing machine tools, pure electric buses, medical instruments and industrial robots has been growing rapidly. Automobile is one of the important export commodities of China. According to the relevant data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to June, China exported 488,000 automobiles, down 4.7% compared with the same period. In terms of vehicle types, the export of passenger cars was 328,000 automobiles, down 12.2% compared with the same period. 160,000 commercial vehicles were exported, up 15.5 percent from the same period.

At the "2019 Key Automobile Export Market Policies and Regulations Promotion Conference" held on July 19, Gao Yang, deputy director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, said, "Although the export volume decreased slightly, the export volume of self-owned brands, commercial vehicles and new energy vehicles increased rapidly, and the adjustment of automobile export structure and transformation of power is showing initial results."
