Tianjin Binhai New Area, how to sell second-hand cars to the world?

In Alexandria Port, Egypt, the first batch of second-hand exported new energy vehicles from Tianjin Huatu Automobile Logistics Co., LTD. These are the epitome of the strong development of Tianjin Binhai New Area second-hand car export business.

From January to July this year, Tianjin Binhai New Area exported a total of 1,043 used cars, with a total value of more than 200 million yuan.
In the first half of this year, Binhai New Area exported a total of 776 used cars, the export value of about 156 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of up to 1,023.62%. The export models are mainly new energy vehicles, and the key exporters are Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates and African countries.

Since Tianjin was approved to carry out second-hand car export business in 2019, Tianjin Binhai New Area, as the receiving place of Tianjin's pilot policy of second-hand car export, has increased the number of second-hand car export stations by more than 20 times in more than two years, and provided the coastal plan for the pilot cities in China.


In recent years, the scale of China's second-hand car trade has been climbing. Meanwhile, the demand for second-hand car in Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia and other regions is quite exuberant, and the market space is huge, which provides a good development opportunity for the export of second-hand car in China.
In April 2019, 10 provinces and municipalities, including Tianjin Municipality, became the first batch of regions approved to pilot the export of used cars.
Zhang Tingting, secretary general of Tianjin Used Car Export Association, said the advantage of Binhai New Area in carrying out used car export business lies in the combination of overseas resources and policy support. Tianjin Port is the largest distribution center of parallel imported cars. Traders of parallel imported cars have rich foreign resources overseas. In particular, the largest import specifications of parallel cars used to be the Middle East regulations, and the Middle East is the largest transit country for second-hand car export at present, which has very important strategic significance. Many foreign resources of parallel import of cars can be reused in the second-hand car export industry. Based on the above industrial advantages, combined with the strong support from the commercial departments of Tianjin, especially Binhai New Area, special policies have been formulated to support second-hand car export enterprises, which has promoted the rapid development of the industry.
