At present, 44 cities have become pilot cities for the export of second-hand cars, and more than 100 enterprises have obtained the qualification of pilot enterprises for the export of second-hand cars. Since the launch of the second-hand car export business for 4 years, the export volume and export value have increased year by year, and the business involves Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and other countries and regions, and the second-hand car export has gradually become a new force for the development of the second-hand car industry.

Since the beginning of this year, domestic used car exports have shown a warming trend. In January this year, Changchun exported 822 used cars, with exports of nearly 100 million yuan, reaching 90% of last year's annual exports and 60% of exports, showing explosive growth. In the first four months of this year, Taizhou exported a total of 3,265 used cars, which is 4.1 times its annual second-hand car export data in 2019. On May 30, Tianjin Customs released data showing that since the beginning of this year, the number of used car exports at Tianjin port has increased by more than 6 times year-on-year.

The reporter noted that at the national level, the east wind of the policy is constantly "escorting" automobile exports. At the end of April this year, the "Opinions on Promoting Stable scale and excellent structure of Foreign Trade" issued by The General Office of the State Council mentioned that to cultivate the advantages of automobile exports, local and business associations organize automobile enterprises and shipping enterprises to carry out direct docking, and guide automobile enterprises and shipping enterprises to sign medium and long-term agreements. At the same time, the above document pointed out that the local should further support the automobile enterprises to establish and improve the international marketing service system, and improve the ability to carry out brand promotion, display sales and after-sales service overseas.

Since the beginning of this year, many used car pilot enterprises in China have expanded, and many local governments are also making efforts to promote the export of used cars.
