Second-hand car export 'wind up'

In August this year, a China-Europe train carrying 165 used cars left the Jiangsu (Suzhou) International Railway Logistics Center for overseas, which is the first time that Jiangsu shipped used cars in a whole train through the China-Europe train.

Since the official launch of China's second-hand car export business in May 2019, more and more second-hand car manufacturers have begun to lay out automobile export business to countries building the "Belt and Road".

The Ministry of Commerce said that the launch of the second-hand car export work is a milestone event in the export history of China's automobile industry, and an important way to deepen the "Belt and Road" cooperation and promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.

Industry insiders generally believe that with reference to the experience of used car exports in developed countries, used car exports will bring huge market space to China's auto market. With the developed countries' used car export volume accounting for 10% of its used car trading volume, China's used car export has a market space of millions to tens of millions of vehicles per year.
