Shangdong - UAE Used Car Trade Fair held in Dubai

In order to further help the province's foreign trade enterprises to expand the market, on November 5, Beijing time, Shandong - UAE used Car Trade Fair was held in Dubai, UAE, under the guidance of Shandong Department of Commerce, Shandong Second-hand Car Export Association and Dubai Chamber of Commerce co-sponsored.

The year 2023 coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and the UAE, as a meeting point of the land and maritime Silk Road, has always been a regional fulcrum for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. As an important core province of the "Belt and Road", Shandong Province and the Middle East region, especially with the United Arab Emirates and other countries, the market and industry are highly complementary, and the cooperation between the two sides has a solid foundation and broad prospects. Second-hand car trade is gradually playing an increasingly important role in bilateral trade, and in the first three quarters of 2023, Shandong Province exported more than 16 million US dollars of second-hand cars to the UAE.

It is understood that the fair is an important trade event held in Dubai to build a bridge of communication for enterprises from both sides. Shandong used cars have many categories, excellent quality and good service, and have gained fame in the UAE in recent years. Such cooperation will not only promote the development of UAE-Shandong bilateral trade, but also add more momentum to the development of UAE-Shandong friendly relations.

During the meeting, Shandong Used Car Export Association and Dubai Chamber of Commerce China Innovation Center signed a strategic cooperation agreement, 30 Shandong used car trade enterprises and more than 30 UAE local car, used car trade enterprises conducted on-site "one-to-one" negotiations, reached a cooperation intention of more than 25 million US dollars. More than 100 representatives from relevant governments, chambers of commerce and enterprises from both sides attended the meeting.

During its visit to Afghanistan, the delegation visited Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone, Khalifa Port, Sinoforeign Transport Overseas Warehouse in Dubai, China Building Materials overseas warehouse and other places, and had in-depth discussions and exchanges with the Afghan side on deepening communication and exchanges, strengthening industry cooperation, and expanding the scale of second-hand car trade.
