The export of new energy vehicles continued to grow

In the face of overseas potential market, various car companies have accelerated the layout.

Nezha recently announced its entry into Malaysia with the launch of its Nezha V car. Currently, Nezha has set up its European division and a subsidiary in Thailand, launched three overseas products including the Nezha V right-hand Rudder, and set up its first overseas factory in Thailand.

Zhang Yiqin, brand and public relations director of SAIC-GM-Wuling, also said that China Wuling New Energy will increase the strategic layout of globalization, and promote the new energy system to go out quickly with the "three-step" strategy. The first stage will take Indonesia as the center, open up the Southeast Asian and Middle East markets, and promote the establishment of local electric vehicle standards; In the second stage, the company will develop markets such as India and Egypt, and build factories overseas to supply key components, so as to improve the localization rate of overseas factories. The third stage is to enter the markets of Europe, Japan and South Korea.

The car enterprise layout confidence comes from the continuous growth of the export market of new energy vehicles. According to the data of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in April this year, the export of new energy vehicles continued to perform well, with the export of new energy vehicles reaching 100,000 units, a month-on-month growth of 28.6% and a year-on-year growth of 8.4 times; From January to April, 348,000 new energy vehicles were exported, up 1.7 times year-on-year.

Data from the General Administration of Customs also showed that in the first quarter of this year, the total export of electric manned vehicles, lithium batteries and solar cells reached 264.69 billion yuan, up by 66.9%, becoming a new advantageous industry supporting China's foreign trade to the world.

Specifically, the overseas sales volume of SAic-GM-Wuling in April was 17,259 units/set, up 8.4% year on year. Officials said that at the end of April, Wuling Indonesia and the Indonesian government signed a memorandum of understanding on new energy investment. Nezha registered 2,502 units in Thailand in the first quarter, accounting for about 17% of the total number of pure electric vehicles licensed in the country in the first quarter, according to Nezha data.

Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the China Passenger Association, said that from the retail data monitoring of independent exports in overseas markets, self-owned brands such as SAIC Motor have a strong performance in Europe, while BYD is rising in Southeast Asia. In addition to the bright performance of traditional export car companies, the export of new forces has been gradually started recently, and data from overseas markets have also begun to emerge.
