China's auto exports reached 3.4 million units in 2022, up 55 percent year on year, overtaking Germany to become the world's second largest auto exporter for the first time, data showed. Among them, 1.12 million new energy vehicles were exported, up 190 percent year on year, accounting for 33 percent of total automobile exports.
China exported 682,000 vehicles in the first two months of this year, up 43.2 percent year-on-year. Industry insiders expect that this year automobile exports will continue to grow strongly.
Wang Du, Assistant President of China Automobile Distribution Association: The number of self-owned brand exports is very large, and new energy vehicles account for an important proportion, so this situation is very encouraging.
