What are the key points for maintenance of HOWO cement mixer truck?

HOWO cement mixer trucks are workhorses on construction sites, but their specific function means they face unique wear and tear. Proper maintenance is crucial to ensure longevity, prevent costly breakdowns, and deliver quality concrete.

Here are the key maintenance points for your HOWO cement mixer truck:

l  Prioritize Drum Cleaning IMMEDIATELY After Each Use: This is paramount. Concrete hardens quickly and is corrosive.

l  Rinse Thoroughly: After every discharge, flush the drum's interior, discharge chute, and feeding hopper with water.

l  Prevent Buildup: Ensure no hardened concrete accumulates. Use high-pressure washers and, if needed, specific concrete dissolvers periodically. Buildup leads to imbalance, reduced mixing efficiency, and increased wear on components.

l  Hydraulic System Vigilance: The hydraulic system powers the drum's rotation.

l  Check Fluid Levels & Quality: Regularly inspect hydraulic fluid levels and ensure the fluid is clean and free of contamination.

l  Inspect for Leaks: Look for any signs of leaks in hoses, connections, and cylinders. Address leaks immediately to prevent pressure loss and system damage.

l  Filter Replacement: Adhere to manufacturer schedules for hydraulic filter replacement.

Mixer Drum & Components Inspection:

l  Blades & Liners: Regularly inspect the mixer blades (paddles) and drum liners for wear, cracks, or damage. Worn blades affect mixing quality and efficiency. Replace them as needed.

l  Bearings & Rollers: Check the condition of the drum's support rollers and bearings. Ensure proper lubrication to prevent excessive friction and premature failure. Listen for unusual noises.

l  Chassis & Powertrain (Standard Truck Maintenance): Don't forget the truck's fundamental components.

l  Engine & Transmission: Follow manufacturer guidelines for oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

l  Brakes & Tires: Regularly inspect brake lining thickness and adjust clearance. Maintain correct tire pressure and check tread depth for safety and fuel efficiency, especially given the heavy loads.

l  Chassis Bolts: Given constant vibrations, regularly check and retighten chassis and suspension bolts.

Daily Pre-Operation Checks:

Before starting, a quick visual check for leaks, tire condition, and proper functioning of lights and controls. Ensure the water tank for drum cleaning is full.

By consistently focusing on these key areas, especially the unique demands of concrete handling, you can significantly extend the lifespan and reliability of your HOWO cement mixer truck.
